The HOBY South Florida Corporate Board (South Florida Leadership Seminar, Inc.) is responsible for overseeing the operation of all HOBY programs
and events in the South Florida region. This dedicated team of volunteers works year-round to ensure that every aspect of the South Florida seminar
and related events are envisioned, designed, and executed at the highest level of professionalism and in strict accordance with the policies of HOBY
International.

Stephanie Eakins, VP Finance | |
 | Stephanie Eakins works for Florida Power and
Light as a Financial Analyst. She is a 1988 Connecticut HOBY alum and has volunteered in various positions with the Connecticut, Virginia, and South
Florida seminars since 2001, including South Florida Leadership Seminar Chair in 2007 and 2008.
Eakins currently serves as a HOBY Regional Program Director. |
Kelsey Johnson, Director of Development |
 | Kelsey Johnson is the PR / Development
Coordinator for the International Game Fish Association. A 1998 HOBY North Florida alum, Johnson has served as a facilitator at the North Florida and
Mid-Florida seminars as well as the World Leadership Congress. She has also served as Director of Recruitment and Leadership Seminar Chair for South
Florida. Now, as Director of Development, her goal is to make sure every South Florida seminar has the resources to be as outstanding and inspiring
as her first seminar 14 years ago.
Johnson resides in Pompano Beach with her husband and daughter. When she's not sounding the HOBY gong or experimenting in the kitchen, she can be
found giving an enthralling speech (or evaluation) with her Toastmaster's club. |
Faequa Khan, Director of Alumni |
 | Faequa Khan is a 2003 HOBY alum, and has attended the
World Leadership Congress as both an ambassador and facilitator. She has served the South Florida seminar as the Team Alumni Coach and Director of
Facilitators.
She is currently a student at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. |
Tami Vickery, 2012 Leadership Seminar Chair |
 | Tami Vickery is a Senior Event Manager with the
Marriott Corporation, planning and managing corporate and social events. A 2001 HOBY South Florida alum, Tami continues to apply lessons learned at
the seminar to her career in hospitality management. |
John McDonough |
 | John McDonough is a Technical Account Manager at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. John has been involved with HOBY South Florida
since 2001. John has served as a facilitator, director, and board VP Finance. |
Ismael Monroig, Jr. |
 | Ismael Monroig, Jr. resides in Pembroke Pines with
his wife, Angela, and their four children. He has nearly 20 years experience in the hospitality industry and has served in executive positions of
several community organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Miramar-Pembroke Pines.

Lon Phillips |
 | Reverend Lon Phillips is the Deacon / Pastoral Ministry Coordinator at Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Lon has been involved
with the South Florida seminar since 1995, and has served HOBY as a facilitator, director, and now, Corporate Board member.

Troy Rice |
 | Troy Rice is the Director of Corporate Services Sourcing at Florida Power and Light. Troy is new to the HOBY organization, but is
heavily involved in philanthropic activities, including Georgia Tech Young Alumni Council, Georgia Tech Club of the Palm Beaches,
Habitat for Humanity, American Heart Association, and The Miami Project for the Cure |
Dris Stephen |
 | Dris Stephen is a Student Services Advisor at
Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Fla. He has been involved with HOBY since 2007, and has served as a facilitator and director for the South
Florida and Mid-Florida seminars.
Dris currently serves as Webmaster and Director of Publications for the South Florida seminar. |

Demi Marks, Assistant Director of Alumni

Demi Marks is a junior at Tufts University majoring in Children's Entertainment. She has worked as a Teacher's Assistant and Research Assistant while there, and has interned with Walden Media, Carousel Productions,
and The Mark Gordon Company. Demi is a 2007 alum and has served in various planning roles including Team Alumni, Director of Educational Development,
Director of Fundraising, Director of Life With HOBY, and Team Alumni Coach. Demi hopes to encourage ambassadors and alumni to maintain their
involvement with HOBY long after the seminar is over.
Demi currently serves as Assistant Alumni Advisor to the South Florida Corporate Board. |
